Plantronics HL1 Remote Handset Lifter - Plantronics HL1 Handset Lifter - The HL1 handset lifter is used with the CA20 DECT adapter to provide automatic control of the telephone hook switch when a user receives a call remotely from their desk. When CA20 is used with the lifter unit; the user is alerted to an incoming call either by an audible tone in the headset or by a ringing tone from the remote pack. A small microphone; attached close to the ringer on the phone; picks up the ringing signal and a notification signal is transmitted to the remote pack. When this occurs; pressing the activation button on the remote pack takes the phone off hook and the call can be taken through the headset. On completion of the call; the same button is pressed again to return the handset to the on-hook state. The mechanical arm is adjustable to suit most telephone handset styles.
