Meade (07008) for LX200, RCX400 - The Meade Ultrawedge permits use of the 10, 12 and 14 LX200 and RCX400 telescopes in an astronomical, or equatorial mode You can do astrophotography with the LX200 and RCX400 scopes in the standard altazimuth mode but for longer exposure times (more than 5 minutes) an effect called field rotation becomes evident. Stars at the edge of the field will appear as small concentric arcs or streaks on the film rather than star points. This effect, which in no way relates to the accuracy of the telescopes computer or internal alignment, occurs on all altazimuth mounted telescopes.
