Compatibility with industry standards is critical. The Wyse 185 and Wyse 185ES (WY-185 and WY 185ES) 10 x 20 high-resolution mode provides backward compatibility with the DEC VT220 soft font characters. Installation is easy because the Wyse 185 and Wyse 185ES (WY-185 and WY 185ES) have both an industry standard DB-25 plug, and the unique Wyse modular connector (which accepts the standard RJ-11 connector and the DEC432 MMJ found on the VT320). The Wyse 185 and Wyse 185ES (WY-185 and WY 185ES) also support a VT420 style keyboard for complete access to the latest VT320 enhancements.
